Rocket explosion detected in Wadi Aqraba near Syrian Borders

AMMAN — An official military source has reported a rocket explosion on Saturday evening in the atmosphere of the Wadi Aqraba area, near the Syrian border, northern Jordan, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. اضافة اعلان

Parts of the rocket fell, however, no injuries or damage to properties were reported. 

The explosion occurred at exactly 10:25pm Saturday, as confirmed by the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-the Arab Army (JAF).


Investigation ongoing
Specialist teams from the Royal Engineering Corps have been deployed to deal with the accident site and reveal any further details, according to the source.
 
JAF is continuing to monitor any developments in the situation in the region, the source noted.

JAF has urged the public not to circulate rumors that could cause unnecessary concerns among society without referring to the credible source of information.
