The directorate stated that the following streets will be completely closed from 4:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Friday: Al-Farouq Street in both directions (from the point near the airport street to the intersection with Independence Street), all side streets leading to Al-Farouq Street, Independence Street up to the Hotels Roundabout, King Hussein Street (from the Intercontinental Hotel to the Sharif Hussein bin Ali Roundabout), and the Sharif Hussein bin Ali Roundabout toward Al-Thawra Square (one-way).

The Public Security Directorate emphasized the use of alternative routes during the race and advised avoiding stopping or parking on the streets along the marathon route. Suggested alternatives include: Al-Muhafaza Street, one-way from Sharif Hussein bin Ali Roundabout opposite the Movenpick Hotel toward Independence Street, Independence Street up to Al-Mahdoud traffic lights with a right turn toward Al-Mahdoud Roundabout, Hammamat Al-Tunisiyah Street, Al-Sulta Street toward the airport, and the internal streets of the central Al-Mahdoud area.

The Red Sea Ayla Half Marathon will feature multiple races and distances (21 km, 21 km relay, 10 km, 4 km children’s race) with participants from various nationalities and both genders.

The Public Security Directorate confirmed the readiness of its personnel to secure the marathon route and oversee the events, ensuring the safety of participants and citizens. The directorate called on residents and drivers to follow traffic instructions and cooperate with security personnel.
