Official data revealed a significant increase in salary allocations for employees and retirees in the civilian, military, and security sectors for 2026, compared to 2025, with total spending rising by approximately 274 million dinars. Minister of Finance Abdel Hakim Al-Shibli stated that salary allocations for employees and retirees in the civilian, military, and security sectors have gradually increased over the five-year period from 2022 to 2026.

Figures show that the total payroll for the civilian, military, and security sectors rose from 4.108 billion dinars in 2022 to 5.014 billion dinars in 2026, representing a total increase of 906 million dinars over the period, with annual increases ranging between 159 and 237 million dinars.

Meanwhile, civilian and military pension allocations increased from 1.605 billion dinars in 2022 to 1.820 billion dinars in 2026, an overall rise of 215 million dinars over five years, with annual increases ranging between 22 and 65 million dinars.
