PM urges officials to tighten health measures ahead of holiday

AMMAN — Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh on Sunday ordered government personnel to step up inspections to businesses and markets to ensure full adherence to health measures before the Eid Al-Adha holiday.اضافة اعلان

"To think the coronavirus pandemic is over is wrong," the prime minister told a Cabinet meeting, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. Khasawneh also warned that a “failure to adhere to safety and prevention measures may expose us to a setback — God forbid"
"We do not have the luxury of returning to closures again," he added.

Khasawneh also stressed the need to continue campaigns that urge citizens to receive vaccinations as the most effective way to arrive at a safe summer and a return to work.
