In comments during a Lower House session, Khasawneh hailed “a collective sense of responsibility” of both legislative and executive authorities in responding to such allegations, that are “entirely false, and are not worthy of us as government, House of Representatives and vast majority of the people of this honorable homeland”.

Jordan is a state of institutions and laws that upholds the national fundamentals and maximizes national capabilities to uplift the country as per the letter of the law, he stressed.

“No one can bid the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, neither the people nor the leadership or the legislative and executive authorities,” he warned.

The prime minister said that reports about the sale of Petra are completely false.
