Over 5,000 tonnes of aid sent to Gaza since Oct. 7— JHCO

AMMAN — The Secretary-General of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), Dr. Hussein Al-Shibli stated that Jordan has sent approximately 5,100 tonnes of aid to the Gaza Strip, including food, relief, medical, and pharmaceutical materials, since October 2023, Khaberni reported.اضافة اعلان

Shibli highlighted that the aid was transported via air and land bridges using 49 aircraft, including 11 air drops, with a total payload of 719.77 tonnes of materials. Additionally, Jordan dispatched 325 land trucks with a total payload of 4,376.47 tonnes.

He further clarified that this aid was transported to the Strip in coordination and cooperation with the Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and several international and regional partner organizations.

Moreover, Shibli noted that the last two aircraft departed Jordan on Wednesday. JHCO, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the JAF, dispatched two humanitarian aid aircraft carrying 23 tonnes of medical and health supplies in collaboration with the UK-based Human Appeal organization.

Shibli emphasized that under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah, Jordan will continue to fulfill its duty towards the people of Gaza by providing necessary aid and support.
