AMMAN — Flower traders have imported 400,000–450,000
roses for Valentine's Day, which falls on Monday, February 14, in addition to
about 100,000 flowers of different kinds, like red tulips, athuriums, lilies
and chrysanthemums, according to Ammon News.
Flower and gift shops owners said
on Sunday that the price of flowers during Valentine ranges between JD2 and JD5,
depending on the kind of flower and source. For Valentine’s 2021, some 250,000–300,000
flowers were imported, less than the yearly average due to pandemic restrictions. Traders hope for a flourishing market this year.
