The MoU, signed in Dallas, Texas, by Lehman Marks, Founder of the American Solar Car Challenge Foundation, and Mohammad Al-Taani, Secretary-General of AREA, underscores a significant partnership. A statement from the Authority highlighted this collaboration's focus on educational innovation and sustainable development.

Marks praised Jordan's significant role in leading green education and innovation in the Middle East, highlighting Jordan's outstanding experience with renewable energy and electric vehicles.

Engineer Al-Taani emphasized the importance of the MoU in bolstering Jordan's efforts in creative and innovative technical and vocational green education, and in generating more job opportunities. He noted the international recognition of Jordan's pioneering positions in sustainable development as a model of stability and energy security.

The American Solar Car Challenge Foundation awarded Al-Taani the title of "Grand Marshal" and the "Shield of Friendship," making him the first Arab to receive this title in Texas.

The international solar car race is expected to be organized in Jordan in cooperation between the Authority and the American organization in September 2025, with participation from teams from several Arab and friendly foreign countries.
