The Ministry of Water and Irrigation / Water Authority detected new illegal taps on main supply pipelines used to divert water for illegal tanker filling in the Al-Muwaqqar area, south of the capital, as well as in Karak to supply agricultural ponds and livestock farms.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry explained that the campaign resulted in uncovering several violations on 300 mm and 400 mm transmission pipelines that were illegally diverting water to fill unauthorized tankers in Al-Muwaqqar.

In Karak, 5 illegal connections were detected, which were used to fill large agricultural ponds with a capacity of 500 cubic meters and supply a large sheep farm. The illegal connections were disconnected, the sites were restored to their proper status, and official violation reports were filed for the incidents.

The operations were carried out by the Ministry's Internal Control Unit in cooperation with Miyahuna, Aqaba Water Company, the Ministry of Interior, the Public Security Directorate, the Badia Police, and the Royal Administration for Environmental Protection.

The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to serving citizens and safeguarding their water rights under the provisions of the law, praising the cooperation of citizens and the support of the Ministry of Interior, the Public Security Directorate, and the Judicial Council for the campaign aimed at protecting the nation's water resources.
