His Majesty King Abdullah II arrives in Tokyo on Sunday, marking the first stop of his Asian working tour, which also includes visits to Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, and Pakistan.

The royal tour aims to strengthen cooperation between Jordan and these countries and to enhance partnerships, particularly in the economic and investment sectors.
In Tokyo, His Majesty is scheduled to meet with His Majesty Emperor Naruhito of Japan, Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, as well as several Japanese ministers and officials.
The King will also meet with representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and major Japanese companies.
On the sidelines of the visit, Jordan and Japan are expected to sign cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding in various fields.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II took the constitutional oath as Regent, in the presence of the Cabinet.
Asian Working Tour
In Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, His Majesty will hold talks with President Luong Cong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and a number of senior officials.
The King will also attend part of the Jordan-Vietnam Business Forum, which brings together representatives from both countries’ private sectors, and participate in a panel discussion focused on establishing a partnership in the apparel industry.
In Singapore, His Majesty will meet with President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.
In Jakarta, the King will hold talks with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and meet with representatives of Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund.
His Majesty will conclude the tour in Pakistan, where he will meet with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
On the sidelines of these meetings, Jordan is also set to sign cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding with both Indonesia and Pakistan in several fields.
