The Royal Hashemite Court has expressed its profound sorrow over the passing of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, who died on Sunday.
By the order of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Royal Hashemite Court announced four days of mourning at the Royal Court, effective immediately.
In its statement, the Royal Court conveyed the deep grief of King Abdullah II and the people of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan over the loss, while reaffirming Jordan’s solidarity with the State of Qatar, its leadership, and its people during this difficult time.
The Royal Hashemite Court also prayed that Almighty God grant the late Sheikh Hamad His boundless mercy, admit him into His eternal paradise, and bestow patience and comfort upon his family and the people of Qatar.
“Indeed, to God we belong and to Him we shall return.”
