Jordan records 1,104 new COVID-19 cases

 AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Monday reached 17, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 1,104 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Monday, bringing the death toll to 9,276 and the caseload to 724,258اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Monday’s tally, the ministry said:

481 in Amman
168 in Irbid
106 in Zarqa
1 in Maan
35 in Ajloun
87 in Balqa
35 in Mafraq
74 in Karak
25 in Aqaba
25 in Jerash
35 in Tafileh
32 in Madaba

The ministry added in a statement that some 70 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 81 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 11,085, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 3.54 percent of the 31,185 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
