The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) announced on Thursday the dispatch of a 10th humanitarian aid convoy to Lebanon. This was done in cooperation with the Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and international partners.
The JHCO added that the convoy consists of 26 trucks loaded with relief, food, and medical supplies, prepared and dispatched as part of Jordan's continuous efforts to support Lebanon.
Hussein Al-Shibli, Secretary-General of the JHCO, stressed that Jordan remains committed to supporting Lebanon under all circumstances, helping to ease living conditions, meet the humanitarian needs of affected and vulnerable groups, and support vital sectors.
He pointed out that the JHCO continues to coordinate with the Jordanian Armed Forces, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and international partners to ensure aid reaches those in need based on actual on-the-ground requirements.
Since the crisis in Lebanon resumed last March, the total number of trucks sent by Jordan across all ten convoys has reached 197. These shipments carried food, medical, and relief supplies, hygiene kits, tents, and two mobile bakeries.
The JHCO expressed its appreciation and thanks to the Syrian authorities for their efforts in facilitating the transit of this convoy, as well as previous humanitarian convoys dispatched to Lebanon.
