Ambassador Abu Al-Foul confirmed the ministry's condemnation of Israel's displacement of a Palestinian family on Wednesday in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied East Jerusalem and the demolition of their home, as a form of a forced displacement and that action being contrary to international law and the norms of international humanitarian law.

In response to Al-Mamlakeh TV, Abu Al-Foul said that Israel, as the occupying power in East Jerusalem, is obligated under international law to protect the rights of Palestinians in their homes. He also stressed that unilateral Israeli practices against Palestinian families are illegal and that it undermines the chances of achieving a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.
