Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Eng. Sami Samirat signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on behalf of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission with Singapore’s ST Engineering.

According to a ministry statement on Friday, the MoU aims to strengthen cooperation between Jordan and Singapore in cybersecurity, digital transformation, and cloud computing technologies, in line with the 2023–2028 Digital Transformation and Entrepreneurship Strategy and the Economic Modernization Vision, which seeks to build a secure and advanced digital economy.
Under the agreement, both parties will collaborate in designing, developing, and implementing advanced digital and cybersecurity solutions, including the development of cybersecurity products, establishing and operating a cybersecurity operations center, implementing training and capacity-building programs, developing cloud solutions and sectoral operations centers, and deploying advanced and emerging digital technologies.
During the signing ceremony, both sides emphasized the importance of enhancing future cooperation to consolidate Jordan’s leadership role in the region in digital innovation and cybersecurity.
Eng. Sami Samirat stated that this partnership reflects Jordan’s commitment to expanding international cooperation in cybersecurity and advanced digital technologies, noting that it aligns with the national vision to establish Jordan as a regional hub for secure digital innovation and sustainable technological growth.
The MoU will be effective for 24 months from the date of signing, with the possibility of automatic renewal, reflecting the two countries’ shared commitment to strengthening digital resilience and driving innovation-based economic growth.
