During a phone call today, the two ministers warned of the "catastrophic consequences" of expanding the crisis and stressed the necessity of collective efforts to protect regional security and stability.

Safadi reaffirmed Jordan’s condemnation of Iranian attacks on its territory and on sisterly Arab nations. He emphasized that the Kingdom will continue to take all necessary and available steps to protect its citizens, security, and sovereignty against any aggression from any party whatsoever.

Furthermore, Safadi and Hussein underscored their shared commitment to the historic, brotherly relations between Jordan and Iraq, pledging to maintain ongoing coordination to preserve and further develop these ties.
