Jordan will observe the crescent moon of Shawwal on Thursday, the 29th day of Ramadan for the year 1447 AH / 2026.
The Grand Mufti of the Kingdom, Ahmad Al-Hasanat, had called for observing the Shawwal crescent today.
Fatwa offices across Jordan will open their doors to receive testimonies regarding the sighting of the crescent.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Palestine, Bahrain, Lebanon, and Yemen, along with the Iraqi Sunni Endowment Office, announced that Thursday completes the holy month of Ramadan, and that Friday will mark the first day of Eid al-Fitr, following the inability to sight the Shawwal crescent on Wednesday evening.
