Jordan Customs explained that the seized workshop lacked the most basic public health and safety standards. Investigations revealed the use of raw materials of unknown origin, and quantities of counterfeit packaging and finished products ready for market distribution were confiscated. Such activities pose a direct threat to the health and safety of citizens.
Coordination has been established with the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) to take all necessary legal actions in accordance with approved protocols.
The Jordan Customs Department reaffirmed that its personnel, as part of joint national efforts and close cooperation with various regulatory bodies, operate with high efficiency to combat all forms of smuggling and illegal manufacturing due to their negative impacts on the national economy and public health.
The department urges citizens to cooperate and report any practices or violations that could harm the national economy or public health by calling the Anti-Smuggling Operations Center's toll-free number (105).
