In a statement, the JFDA noted the recent and repetitive spread of videos by some social media users containing inaccurate and untrue content regarding health requirements in certain food establishments.
The JFDA urged the public to verify information accurately and objectively in this regard, as circulating such videos can mislead the public, undermine confidence in food establishments, their activities, and products, and distract regulatory bodies from their priority oversight duties.
The administration added that these practices could harm national products and tourism, potentially impacting the national economy negatively. It emphasized that such actions could be deemed false reports, exposing those responsible to legal accountability.
The JFDA confirmed that its specialized teams conduct regular inspection tours of all food establishments to monitor their compliance with approved health requirements, ensuring food safety and consumer health.
Finally, the JFDA urged anyone with observations, inquiries, or complaints to contact them before publishing by using the official complaints platform via WhatsApp at (0795632000).
