Hassan directed the rehabilitation of sports facilities belonging to Al al-Bayt University to integrate with the park and be accessible for public use.

The park was completed within 18 months following the government's decision to construct it, and features 10,000 trees planted earlier this year to provide green spaces and recreational areas under the government's policy to expand public parks and open spaces.

The facility provides comprehensive recreational amenities, rest areas, safe spaces for families, children, and youth, 600-meter walking and cycling trails, and parking capacity for hundreds of vehicles.

It includes 4 sports courts, an expansive outdoor fitness unit with a dedicated section for senior citizens, 3 large children's play areas, and service facilities to meet visitors' needs, all equipped with surveillance cameras to preserve the infrastructure.

The park was expanded during its initial construction phases to serve the largest possible segment of citizens and visitors, and to broaden sports and recreational activities.

The park's establishment aligns with government efforts to expand public parks and family recreational facilities, which recently included the completion of Nashama Park in Marj Al-Hamam and the Dead Sea Corniche and Tourist Beach, alongside other ongoing projects designed to serve the public.

Regarding Al al-Bayt University's sports facilities, the Prime Minister ordered their rehabilitation to complement the new Mafraq Park. These facilities feature a large sports stadium surrounded by grandstands, 10 courts for football, basketball, tennis, and volleyball, and a running track—all of which will be accessible to support local youth and sports activities in the governorate.
