Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan received the Managing Director of Operations at the World Bank, Anna Bjerde, in his office at the Prime Ministry on Sunday, in the presence of the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Zeina Toukan.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the priorities of cooperation and partnership between Jordan and the World Bank Group, exploring avenues to strengthen this relationship to serve the Kingdom’s economic and developmental priorities.
The Prime Minister praised the strategic partnership uniting Jordan and the World Bank Group, expressing appreciation for the Group’s role in supporting the Kingdom’s efforts to implement economic and developmental programs and projects.
For her part, Bjerde commended Jordan's economic and developmental efforts, reaffirming the World Bank Group's support for major projects implemented by the government in the energy, transport, water, education, healthcare, and digitalization sectors. She also emphasized the Group's commitment to capacity-building programs, knowledge transfer, and economic policy support that contribute to executing the Economic Modernization Vision and achieving its objectives.
