The Health Affairs Department at the Greater Mafraq Municipality seized quantities of meat unfit for human consumption inside a local mall on Friday, following an intensive field inspection.

The municipality stated in a press release that this operation is part of its ongoing efforts to protect public health and ensure the safety of food products sold in commercial markets.
Zero Tolerance for Health Violations
Mohammad Khalaf Al-Fayez, Chairman of the Greater Mafraq Municipality Committee, emphasized that the municipality will continue its oversight campaigns without leniency. He stressed that "citizens' health is a red line" and that the strictest legal measures will be taken against violators to prevent such infractions from recurring.
Round-the-Clock Monitoring
Khaled Al-Shalabi, Director of the Municipality’s Health Department, explained that inspection teams operate in morning and evening shifts to cover all shops and markets. He noted that the seized quantities were confiscated and destroyed according to established legal protocols, while legal proceedings against the violating party are being finalized.
The municipality urged citizens to verify the safety of goods before purchasing them and to immediately report any complaints or health-related observations through its official communication channels.
