Gag order issued in case involving former police chief

AMMAN — The Public Prosecutor of Amman issued a gag order on Tuesday, prohibiting the publication or distribution of any information regarding audio recordings that may contain mentions or references to the Public Security Directorate or its former director, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

The order prohibits audiovisual and social media from publishing any information about the case or the conduct of the preliminary investigation, as well as any discussion of the case’s legal characterization or potential penalties.

The order, issued by Public Prosecutor Thaer Al-Nassar, prohibits the distribution or republication of any photos or videos linked to the case.
