The Media Commission has circulated a letter from the Attorney General of the Grand Criminal Court to all media outlets, containing a gag order (publication ban) regarding the case of the shooter in the Ashrafieh area.

The letter demanded that all media platforms strictly comply with the ban by refraining from publishing any information related to this case or the progress of its investigation. It also prohibited the publication, republication, or circulation of any photos or videos related to the incident, citing the negative impact such actions could have on the course of the investigation, all under penalty of criminal liability.
This decision comes in accordance with the provisions of Article (225) of the Criminal Procedure Law, as well as Articles (38) and (39) of the Press and Publications Law.
