France offers scholarships to Jordanian, Iraqi students at AUM

AMMAN — French Ambassador to Jordan Véronique Vouland, accompanied by a French delegation, visited the American University of Madaba (AUM), where a group of students had received scholarships from the French government.اضافة اعلان

According to a press statement, Vouland met with the Acting President of the University, Naif Haddad, who voiced appreciation over the scholarships offered to 22 AUM Jordanian and Iraqi students. During the visit, the delegation toured the campus and learned about AUM's facilities, history, programs and its role in developing the educational process in Jordan.

The evoy and the delegates also met with Bishop William Shomali, chairman of the Board of Trustees at AUM, members of the board and the students who received the scholarships. 

At the end of the visit, the delegation visited the shrine of the Church of the Beheading of John the Baptist in the Latin Monastery, located nearby AUM in the historical city of Madaba, which is recognized as one of the oldest churches in the Kingdom.
