AMMAN — The
Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources
reaffirmed its commitment to the oil and gas exploration plan for 2023, as it
engages in negotiations with three global companies interested in investing in these
ventures.

The ministry announced that it has recently launched a
bidding process aimed at local companies for drilling a well in the Al-Jafr
region within the current year, Hala News reported. This comes after the
successful completion of drilling two wells in the
Al-Sarhan and Al-Jafr areas.
Simultaneously, the National Petroleum Company is actively conducting drilling
operations for a third well in the Bayir area.
The ministry's steadfast efforts to promote oil and gas
exploration demonstrate its commitment to attracting foreign investment and
leveraging the expertise of international companies in this vital industry.
These endeavors align with the Kingdom's broader vision of advancing its energy
and mineral resources sector while actively engaging in global collaboration
and knowledge exchange.
