Sunday marks the 32nd birthday of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, the eldest son of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah.

The Crown Prince was born in the city of Amman on the 19th of Muharram, 1415 AH, corresponding to June 28, 1994 AD.
His Royal Highness is the eldest son of Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah, and is the 42nd-generation direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). His Royal Highness has one brother, HRH Prince Hashem, and two sisters, HRH Princess Iman and HRH Princess Salma.
The Crown Prince married Princess Rajwa Al Hussein on the 12th of Dhu al-Qidah, 1444 AH, corresponding to June 1, 2023 AD. Their Royal Highnesses were blessed with a daughter, Princess Iman bint Al Hussein, on the 28th of Muharram, 1446 AH, corresponding to August 3, 2024 AD.
In 2017, the Crown Prince graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and he holds the rank of Major in the Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army.
He completed his secondary education at King’s Academy in Jordan in 2012, and earned his university degree in International History from Georgetown University in the United States, graduating in 2016.
A Royal Decree was issued on the 9th of Rajab, 1430 AH, corresponding to July 2, 2009 AD, naming Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II as Crown Prince. His Royal Highness has been appointed as Regent to His Majesty the King on several occasions.
The Crown Prince oversees numerous portfolios aimed at supporting youth and economic development. His Royal Highness also focuses heavily on the technical education and training sector, the development of the information technology sector, the tourism sector, and various other vital areas.
Embodying the Crown Prince’s vision of the necessity to support Jordanian youth, develop their capabilities, and enhance their competitive advantages, the Crown Prince Foundation (CPF) was launched in 2015. The foundation aims to equip young people with the skills and opportunities that bolster their capacity for learning, volunteering, and entrepreneurship, enabling them to build their desired futures and serve their country and community.
Like many young people, His Royal Highness Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II has various interests and hobbies that he practices regularly, including soccer, diving, and shooting, as well as following competitive sports such as mixed martial arts (MMA) and boxing.
