During the meeting, the Crown Prince expressed appreciation for Jordan's invitation to participate as a principal guest at the summit for the third consecutive year, describing it as a reflection of the strong relations between the Kingdom and both Croatia and the wider MED9 group.

MED9 brings together nine European Union member states from southern Europe: Croatia, Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Slovenia, and Spain.

The two sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation across various fields. The Crown Prince spoke about the Jordan-Europe Investment Conference, which the Kingdom is due to host in November, and its importance in consolidating partnerships between Jordan and EU member states.

The Crown Prince also outlined preparations to mark the two-thousandth anniversary of the baptism of Jesus Christ in 2030 at the Baptism Site - Al-Maghtas. He said the occasion and the site underline Jordan's historical significance and its standing as a global destination for Christian pilgrimage.

Turning to regional developments, the Crown Prince stressed the importance of intensifying international efforts to restore calm to the region and of strengthening joint action to address the challenges facing southern EU states and their Mediterranean neighbours.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi, Jordan's non-resident Ambassador to Croatia Qais Abu Dieh, and Director of the Crown Prince's Office Zaid Al-Baqain.

The Crown Prince also attended a dinner hosted by the Croatian Prime Minister for representatives of the countries participating in the summit.
