The Ministry stated that the project, which extends over a distance of approximately 400 meters, is part of its ongoing efforts to enhance traffic safety and encourage active transportation. This initiative aims to foster a culture of physical activity and improve the quality of life for road users.
Closure Details and Traffic Flow
The Ministry explained that the execution of the works necessitates a partial closure of the left-side service road. The closure will start from the area following the Madaba Bridge up to the area preceding IKEA Jordan, beginning Saturday morning, May 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The closure is expected to last for approximately 60 days until the works are completed.
The Ministry emphasized that the closure will be strictly limited to the service road parallel to the main highway, thereby minimizing the impact on traffic. It further noted that traffic flow on the main Airport Road will remain unaffected throughout the duration of the project.
