In a formal letter addressed to the Prime Minister, Abu Hassan noted that the previous decision—which granted a 20% discount on property and land taxes (Musaqafat), education taxes, and sewage contribution fees—is set to expire on March 31, 2026. He highlighted that this initiative significantly encouraged citizens to settle their financial obligations.
Proposed Extension
Abu Hassan called for the approval of a three-month extension of this discount. He asserted that such a move would ease economic pressures under the current circumstances and boost government revenues by increasing the rate of payment compliance.
He further noted that this step aligns with the government's orientation toward supporting sustainable development and incentivizing citizens to fulfill their obligations, ultimately serving the public interest and the national economy.
