AMMAN – The Cabinet, in its session, held
Wednesday, chaired by Prime Minister Dr.
Bisher Al-Khasawneh, approved the
system of supporting university students in official universities for the year
2023.

According to Jo24 this system aims to specify
the provisions for managing the student support fund established in the
Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It outlines the areas of
expenditure, all matters related to it, and specifies the provisions related to
benefiting from
grants and loans allocated for this purpose.
The system also aims to determine the cases of
exemption for beneficiaries or their dependents, according to the
circumstances, from the amounts due. The fund management committee is granted
the authority to review these exemptions if the reasons for them are proven to
be lacking.
The
Cabinet also approved the system for
regulating academic work in universities and official colleges for the year
2023. This is to determine the educational institutions subject to the
provisions of this system, organize the practice of academic work in these
institutions, and specify the tasks and powers of the Academic Work Regulation
Committee.
