The ministry’s official spokesperson, Fouad Al-Majali, stated that the evacuation included nationals from Bahrain, Tunisia, Algeria, Oman, Kuwait, Libya, Pakistan, Turkey, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Serbia, South Africa, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Uruguay.
Al-Majali explained that the ministry, in coordination with relevant Jordanian authorities, facilitated their passage and provided the necessary assistance.
He noted that the acting head of the Jordanian Embassy in Tel Aviv visited the Jordanian citizens held at the flotilla’s detention site last Friday — three in total — to check on their wellbeing. Two of them had previously departed by air via Turkey.
Al-Majali also indicated that coordination was made with the embassies of the brotherly and friendly countries to organize and facilitate the departure of their nationals from Jordanian territory.
