According to the Department of Statistics, produce prices declined during the first third of 2021 by 14.5 percent, approaching 102.4 points compared to 119.9 points during the same period in 2020 due to a fall in the volume of exports, production surplus, low purchasing power and climate change.

In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, economists and workers called for a clear strategy targeting the expansion of the agriculture sector, a decrease in production costs, opening marketing channels and providing proper logistical services that enable the sector to accommodate higher quantities of products.
