“Based on Royal directives, the five families will receive permanent apartments, at a maximum of JD50,000 per apartment,” the ministry said in a statement.

The ministry said that it provided cash and in-kind assistance to all those affected by the collapse of the building, noting that the amounts ranged from JD2,500 to 15,000.

The ministry said that “the value of the cash donated for the benefit of the affected people amounted to JD76,417.470, including JD37,692.470 through the eFawateercom platform.”
