In one of the most significant cases, AND personnel, in cooperation and coordination with the Jordan Customs Department and other security agencies at the Jaber border crossing, thwarted an attempt to smuggle 85,000 narcotic pills into the Kingdom. The suspect was arrested, and upon interrogation, confessed to storing a quantity of hashish at his residence. A raid was conducted, resulting in the seizure of 13 slabs of hashish.
In southern Amman, security and investigative teams carried out a targeted campaign against drug dealers and promoters, arresting three individuals — one of whom was a key supplier to local distributors — and seizing 15 slabs of hashish in their possession.
Additionally, in the capital, three other drug promoters were arrested after intelligence was gathered about their activities, and 9 slabs of hashish were confiscated.
In Jerash Governorate, authorities, acting on verified information about a drug dealer transporting narcotics from Ramtha District toward Jerash with an accomplice, raided their location, arrested both suspects, and seized 40 slabs of hashish.
In Zarqa Governorate, a raid targeting a drug promoter led to his arrest and the confiscation of 6 slabs of hashish.
Meanwhile, in Aqaba Governorate, following close surveillance of a drug dealer confirmed to be in possession of a large quantity of narcotics, he was apprehended, and during questioning, revealed the hiding place of the drugs in a rugged rocky area. A subsequent search uncovered 36 slabs of hashish concealed at the site.
