The doctor warned that excessive consumption of tangerines—even by healthy individuals—may trigger allergic reactions, irritate the stomach lining, and increase acidity. Therefore, it is recommended not to eat more than one to two tangerines per day.

Despite these cautions, Dr. Pikhutina highlighted the benefits of tangerines, stating: “Tangerines are a rich source of vitamin C, organic acids, and flavonoids, which help strengthen the immune system and regulate metabolism. They also aid digestion and improve mood thanks to their aromatic oils.”
