Turkish club Trabzonspor has set its sights on adding another high-profile star to its ranks, following its successful signing of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, the former Liverpool goalscorer, during the current summer transfer window.

According to the Turkish website Fanatik, Salah's move to Trabzonspor has sparked widespread global interest in the team. This momentum has prompted the club’s management to pursue another major signing, turning its attention toward Uruguayan international striker Darwin Núñez, currently playing for Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal.
The report added that Ibrahim Shahinkaya, the club's vice president who traveled to Greece to finalize the Salah deal, will travel to Saudi Arabia to discuss all the details surrounding Núñez's transfer, where an agreement is expected to be reached to sign him on loan.
Reports indicated that the Turkish team has offered €8 million to Al Hilal to secure the Uruguayan striker, whose market value is estimated at €20 million.
Núñez reportedly favors the idea of playing alongside Salah again in the same team, especially given their close friendship during their time at Liverpool. Should the deal be finalized, Núñez will arrive in Turkey this week.
Núñez has made 24 appearances for Al Hilal, scoring 9 goals and providing 5 assists. Over his entire career, he has played 306 matches, scoring 117 goals and registering 51 assists, in addition to earning 35 international caps with the Uruguay national team.
