Richarlison, Kevin Danso, and Pape Matar Sarr have all asked to leave Tottenham, head coach Roberto de Zerbi has confirmed. All three players have been linked with departures from Spurs, and none featured in De Zerbi's matchday squad as Tottenham fell 2-0 at home to Newcastle on Saturday.

Asked about their situations after the defeat, De Zerbi said: "Richarlison, I don't know. He said too many times he wants to leave. Danso came to me two days ago and said he wants to leave, and Pape Sarr the same, but he's picked up a small injury — he's almost ready to train again. I have very good relationships with them, but if they want to leave, they have to bring a solution — an economic solution — to the club, and then they can go."
Spurs have spent more than £300 million this summer in an effort to restore their competitive edge following back-to-back 17th-place finishes in the Premier League. Despite the investment, Tottenham currently sit bottom of the table, having lost their opening two matches against Brentford and Newcastle without scoring a single goal.
Richarlison was Tottenham's top scorer last season with 11 goals and played a key leadership role during the club's fight for survival, which was only secured on the final day of the season. Earlier this month, De Zerbi said the Brazilian forward was uncertain about his future, noting that "it's not easy to find another striker like Richarlison."
Last week, Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush joined Spurs on loan and started in Richarlison's place in De Zerbi's line-up against Newcastle.
Danso's first-team opportunities could also be limited this season following the arrivals of Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke, who are set to compete for a place in central defense — a position where Micky van de Ven has already cemented his spot with a new contract and the club captaincy. Sunderland had made an offer for Danso, who has 36 caps for Austria, on a season-long loan, but Spurs turned it down.
In midfield, Sarr's playing time has been affected by the early-window arrivals of Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali, as Tottenham kicked off a statement summer of transfer activity by breaking their club-record transfer fee twice within a single week.
