The two teams will face off at the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait (7pm) as part of Group B in the qualifiers, which could also see the team qualifying for the 2023 Asia Cup in China.

On Saturday, Jordan’s players attended practice at the Kathma Club Stadium, led by Belgian coach, Vital Borkelmans.

In remarks about the upcoming match with Nepal, Borkelmans was quoted on the Jordan Football Association’s website as saying: “This is an important game and our focus is on securing three points before we start thinking about facing Kuwati and Australia, to ensure that we qualify to the final playoffs.”

He added: "We need nine more points to guarantee that we qualify. Our journey will begin with Nepal and we realize the importance of our meeting with Kuwait. But first, we must secure the highest number of points against Nepal before looking ahead to our next match."

The Kingdom’s delegation to Kuwait includes the following players: Ahmad Abdulsattar, Mutaz Yaseen, Abdullah Al-Fakhouri, Mahmoud Al-Kawamleh, Yazan Al-Arab, Anas Bani Yaseen, Rawad Abu Khaizaran, Saad Al-Rousan, Firas Shalbaieh, Ihasan Haddad, Salem Al-Ajaleen, Mohammad Al-Dumeiri, Muhannad Khairallah, Ahmad Thaer, Nour Al-Rawabdeh, Bahaa Abdulrahman, Khalil Bani Attieh, Ibrahim Saadeh, Mousa Al-Tamari, Mohammad Abu Zreiq, Ali Alwan, Ahmad Ersan, Mahmoud Mardhi, Yaseen Al-Bakheet, Odai Al-Saifi, Ahmad Samir, Yousef Al-Rawashdeh, Bahaa Faisal, Hamza Al-Dardour and Yazan Al-Nueimat.
