Ahmad Al-Masoud, official spokesperson for Saudi Arabia's Al-Shabab club, has revealed the truth behind negotiations with Moroccan coach Hussein Ammouta of Egypt's Al-Ahly, and defender Yasser Ibrahim of the "Red Giant."

Some controversy had been stirred up over the past few days regarding negotiations between Al-Shabab and the Moroccan coach, over him taking charge of the Saudi club's technical leadership in the coming period.
On the other hand, Ammouta has faced media and fan criticism over Al-Ahly's performance in matches, despite having collected 13 points from the first 5 matches of the Egyptian Premier League.
Al-Masoud said in televised remarks on the "MBC Egypt 2" channel: "Hussein Ammouta is a capable coach leading a major club like Al-Ahly, and everything being said about negotiations with him is inaccurate."
He added: "We renewed our confidence in coach Thomas Letsch, and he also requested some changes to the technical staff. We hope this confidence proves well placed, and that results improve after the international break."
Al-Shabab currently sits in 14th place in the Saudi Roshn League standings with 4 points, after 7 rounds.
He continued speaking about the reports of Al-Shabab's negotiations with Yasser Ibrahim, saying: "During the transfer window, speculation increases, but we've signed a defender, and we haven't been pursuing Yasser Ibrahim. This news isn't accurate."
