In a post on its official account on "X" (formerly Twitter), the Ministry emphasized that activating the digital ID is the first step toward accessing fully integrated digital government services through the Sanad app.

Once activated, citizens will be able to access their personal digital documents, including their driver’s license, national ID card, birth certificate, and university degree, enabling them to complete government transactions easily and securely.

Regarding the activation process, the Ministry stated that it can be done by visiting the nearest Sanad station, any post office, or via mobile applications of the following banks:
Arab Bank, Capital Bank, Bank al Etihad, Housing Bank, Jordan Investment Bank, Bank of Jordan, Jordan Islamic Bank, Ahli Bank, Arab Islamic International Bank, Jordan Kuwait Bank, and Al Rajhi Bank.

The Ministry also highlighted that 67.5% of government services have been digitized cumulatively so far, according to a previous statement. Out of a target of 2,400 services, 1,621 services have already been digitized.

The Ministry estimates that the percentage of digitized services will reach 80% by the end of this year, as part of its broader digital transformation goals.

As for digital ID activation specifically, the Ministry noted that 1.76 million digital IDs have been activated so far through the Sanad app.
