The general index of industrial production quantities in the first half of this year reached 87.77 points compared to 86.21 points for the same period last year, marking a 1.80% increase.

Comparing the cumulative index for the first half of this year with the same period in 2024, the manufacturing sector’s production quantities rose by 1.92%, electricity production increased by 3.04%, while the mining sector’s production quantities decreased by 2.47%.
According to the monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics on Tuesday, the production index for June reached 90.07 points compared to 89.69 points for the same month last year, reflecting a 0.43% increase.
On a monthly basis, the general index of industrial production quantities for June increased compared to June 2024 due to a 0.97% rise in manufacturing production and a 2.68% rise in mining production, while electricity production decreased by 9.30%.
The industrial production index for June was 90.07 points compared to 88.04 points in May of the same year, a rise of 2.31%.
Sector-wise, comparing June with May, manufacturing production increased by 2.16%, mining production by 0.58%, and electricity production by 6.14%.
