The Iraqi authorities have launched extensive campaigns against corrupt people in Iraq, including ministers, deputies and political figures, and their homes and farms have been turned into warehouses for billions of dollars, amid an unprecedented scene in Iraq and among Arabs.

Corruption is eroding Iraq, and the very rich Arab country, with all its oil and billions, does not find water and electricity, and Iraqis complain about poverty and need, which is not befitting of our Iraqi brothers, but it is a situation that arose specifically after 2003, and this means that Iraq has been looted for 23 years, by official, religious, and political symbols, and estimates speak of hundreds of billions.
What will the average Iraqi benefit from all the political and sectarian slogans, if his life is hardship, and what is worse is that some of those who were arrested had previous television appearances in which they denounced corruption, and even a well-known figure who was arrested was the head of an integrity and anti-corruption committee, and fought corruption openly, and practiced it secretly in Iraq?
In any case, Iraqi money has been systematically looted, including those who say that billions of dollars were being transferred to Iran, billions that were smuggled out of Iraq, and billions discovered during recent campaigns.
The head of the new Iraqi government, Ali al-Zaidi, deserves praise, but we fear him from the hornet's nest that he has invaded, because there are organized corruption networks that have political, security, and tribal protections, as well as their linings, and they may not tolerate opening files, nor the results of the fight against corruption, which makes the man threatened, and forces him to be on security alert, and he will visit Washington this month in an attempt to improve Iraqi-American relations, after a series of tensions.
The same president will face a second file, and he has given the Iraqi armed groups affiliated with Iran until the end of September to hand over their weapons, because there are no weapons outside the control of the state, and everyone is aware that the weapons of the organizations are subject to the calculation of political groups inside Iraq, political and parliamentary forces, and financial forces, and on the other hand, it is linked to the regional file and Iran's relationship with what is happening in Iraq, and this is a task that no one knows whether the new government will succeed in.
Iraq is dear to every Arab, and we want it to remain safe and sound, but the anti-corruption campaigns did not remain within the borders of Iraq, but their effects extended to the Arab world, and aroused the lust of the Arab peoples because they want to see in their countries and countries the same experience, i.e., a repeat of the war on corruption and the oppression of anyone who steals the money of innocents.
This directly means that the experience was not Iraqi, but in some aspects of it was Arab, especially since Iraq was able to do so despite all the internal complexities in its structure, political fragility, contradictions and security weakness, let alone the more stable countries that do not carry out such campaigns in order to recover public money, in an Arab world that is overflowing with wealth and money, but whose peoples suffer from poverty, deprivation, unemployment, ignorance, and the absence of future opportunities.
We stand by the Iraqi hand, and we call on Iraqis not to back down for any reason.
