The spokesperson for the Russian Presidency (the Kremlin), Dmitry Peskov, said on Tuesday that supplying weapons to Kyiv does not align with efforts to promote a peaceful settlement.

Speaking at a press conference, Peskov stated, “It is clear to Russia that the supply of weapons to Kyiv continues with the participation of European countries.”
He expressed Russia’s appreciation for efforts made by U.S. President Donald Trump to initiate direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
Regarding the new sanctions imposed on Russia, the Kremlin stated that Moscow will do everything possible to mitigate the impact, noting that the American sanctions against Russia are illegal and harmful to both countries.
Peskov added that the continued U.S. and European military supplies to Kyiv confirm the pursuit of a policy aimed at prolonging combat operations in Ukraine.
