Yemen: Oil Tanker Hijacked off Shabwah Coast and Forced Toward Somalia

Aden — The Yemeni Coast Guard announced on Saturday that the oil tanker (M/T Eureka) has been hijacked off the coast of Shabwah Governorate. Unidentified gunmen boarded and seized control of the vessel, forcing it through the Gulf of Aden toward the Somali coastline.اضافة اعلان

Ongoing Rescue Efforts
The Coast Guard added that it has coordinated with international partners and relevant authorities stationed in the Gulf of Aden. This cooperation has resulted in locating the tanker.

"Work is underway to track the vessel and take the necessary measures in an attempt to recover it and ensure the safety of its crew," the statement confirmed.
