On Thursday, Israeli settlers—accompanied by far-right Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich—stormed the “Tarsala” site near the town of Jaba’, south of Jenin.

According to local sources, five buses carrying settlers, along with a large number of Israeli military vehicles and a bulldozer, entered the site, which lies adjacent to the former settlement of “Sanur,” evacuated in 2005.
The sources noted that, in addition to Smotrich, the head of the Settlements Council in the northern West Bank, Yossi Dagan, also took part in the incursion.
Despite previous evacuations, settlers have continued to repeatedly storm the area.
It is also worth noting that on May 30, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant also visited the “Tarsala” site.
In May, the Israeli Security Cabinet ("the Cabinet") approved the establishment of 22 new settlements in the West Bank, including the reestablishment of the “Homesh” and “Sanur” settlements in the Jenin Governorate. — (WAFA)
