UNRWA media advisor Adnan Abu Hasna, in a statement to Petra's correspondent in Gaza on Monday, highlighted that Jordan was among the first nations to deliver substantial humanitarian aid to various parts of the Gaza Strip. This included the establishment of field hospitals that played a crucial role in providing medical services to the sick and wounded.

Abu Hasna noted that Jordan was the first country to airdrop aid, particularly to the famine-stricken areas of Gaza and the north. He emphasized that UNRWA views Jordan as a key partner in serving Palestinian refugees across all their areas of presence. Jordan is regarded as one of the most significant supporters of UNRWA and the Palestinian refugee issue, he added.

The Gaza Culture and Development Group (GCDG) also expressed its gratitude for Jordan's extensive humanitarian support amid the ongoing war. The group's director mentioned that the aid included food, health, medical supplies, and other essential parcels that have helped alleviate the suffering of Gaza's citizens.

The GCDG has distributed more than 10,000 food parcels, provided by Jordan, to those displaced from their homes and residing in shelter centers. These parcels contained basic items crucial for families during these challenging times.

The GCDG director underscored that this generous initiative reflects the deep solidarity between the Jordanian and Palestinian peoples and reaffirms Jordan's commitment to supporting just humanitarian causes.
