The Lebanese Presidency said in a post on X that a Lebanese military delegation would participate in the meeting to “put Lebanon’s demands for an end to Israeli escalation on the table,” with the hope of achieving results consistent with the framework agreement.

The announcement came as Lebanese President Joseph Aoun received a French delegation headed by Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot.

Aoun said Israel continues to carry out attacks on villages and towns in southern Lebanon, as well as bulldozing land, destroying homes and preventing farmers from accessing their lands.

He said Israel had failed to comply with the provisions of the framework agreement reached under US sponsorship, adding that the continued occupation and tensions in the south were preventing the Lebanese Army from deploying along the southern international border in implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
