The Lebanese News Agency reported that the strike caused injuries, with no information yet on fatalities or the identities of those targeted.

Late Friday night, the agency confirmed that Israeli aircraft had targeted an excavator in Bleda, southern Lebanon.

Earlier, on Thursday, the Israeli army carried out a series of airstrikes on several southern towns, issuing evacuation warnings in what was described as the broadest alert since the implementation of a previous agreement, amid escalating tensions along the border over recent weeks.

In response, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun described the Thursday strikes in a statement as a fully-fledged crime, noting that Israel continues its aggression on Lebanese sovereignty whenever Beirut expresses openness to negotiations.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military stated that its strikes targeted Hezbollah military positions in southern Lebanon, claiming the operations were intended to counter prohibited attempts by the group to rebuild its activities in the region.
