Iran’s Ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, Ali Bahreini, declared on Wednesday that his country would respond to Israeli strikes “forcefully and without restraint.”

Speaking to reporters, Bahreini stated:
“We will show no hesitation in defending our people, our security, and our land. We will respond seriously, forcefully, and without restraint.”
He added:
“If we reach the conclusion that the United States was directly involved in the attacks on Iran, we will begin to respond accordingly. We have sent a message to Washington making it clear that we will retaliate with great severity.”
Israel has been conducting strikes against Iran, claiming the aim is to prevent Tehran from acquiring a nuclear weapon. In response, Iran has launched missile attacks targeting Israeli territory.
